Meet The Staff

Virtually straight out of school, Peter started his picture framing apprenticeship at Wide Bay Gallery in Maryborough, Queensland. In 1990 Peter moved to Rockhampton and completed his apprenticeship with Kerry and Jill Duncan of Mi-Art. He became a Guild Commended Framer in 2012 with The Fine Art Trade Guild of London who also invited Peter to become a Guild Member. He has since completed his Advanced Masters with The Fine Art Trade Guild in textiles and needlework’s. Staying abreast of the latest framing techniques and practices Peter is always able to offer the best solutions to preserve and protect his clients work, be that a favoured object from childhood or a valuable artwork destined to hang in the Museum. Pete’s ultimate desire is to have his clients fall in love with their framed item every time they view it and rest in the knowledge that it will stand the test of time.

Pete has honed his craft in framing, consulting, and display to perfection. Throughout his illustrious career, he has amassed a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience in all aspects of framing, catering to a diverse clientele spanning the corporate, educational, domestic and gallery sectors. Peter has collaborated with architects, interior designers, artists, curators and the Rockhampton Museum of Art (RMOA), utilising his expertise to showcase artworks in the most captivating and visually pleasing manner. He possesses the knowledge and artistic sensibility to create frames that complement and enhance the artworks, while also ensuring their long-term preservation. Drawing upon his extensive experience, he is able to offer personalised recommendations tailored to the specific needs, preferences, and budget of each client, ensuring their complete satisfaction.
